Creating Television

Bring your creative visions to life with your very own TV show! Introducing a new program at The Barn that will teach students all about TV production as they create their very own variety show. Under the guidance of television industry veteran Jessica Spinelli, participants learn to write, produce, direct and perform in front of the camera while having have hands-on experiences with studio and field equipment. From start to finish, students will be involved int the creation of several episodes of a show of their very own creation that will be aired on Madison’s Public Access Channel. Students from 5th through 8th grade from any town are welcome to sign up. The program runs most Sundays, 12:30-2:30pm, from March 18th to June 10th.  Jessica Spinelli~ Jessica Spinelli is originally from New York and has been in the entertainment industry for over ten years in various sectors. With a B.A. in Journalism and a M.A. in Media Studies, she began her career in publishing for such companies a Fangoria Entertainment and Archie Comic Publications. She soon switched gears to television production, having worked on hit shows for such major networks as TLC, National Geographic, Discovery, Food Network and Biography Channel. Some of her TV credits include the hit series Chopped and Pawn Stars. She also has produced and directed music videos that have aired on Music Choice Television, Comcast on Demand, hundreds of websites, as well as screened in film festivals across the country. She currently is a writer for Best Version Media and Hive Media, as well as a consultant for the Media Department of Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine in NYC
