June 25th – 29th – 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM - Art Station Vacation Kelley Kapfer - $250/week – Open to students entering 5th grade & up

Cycle everyday through our art making stations to see things differently, learn new art making skills and improve the ones you already have.  Intermediate and beginner artists welcomed. Station 1: Free drawing in pencil, charcoal, and ink. Station 2: Eco Friendly Sculpture. Station 3: Glitter painting. Station 4: Kaleidoscope Making. Station 5: Sculptey and air-drying clay.

July 9th – 13th – 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM - Game Show Mania - $225/week – Open to students entering 5th grade & up

Come on down to the Arts Barn for a week of fun playing and creating your favorite game shows.  Get involved with all aspects of the production of different game shows from set design, writing, producing, hosting and being a contestant.  Each day will be based on a different popular game show like, Minute to Win It, Family Feud, Price is Right, Password, etc…

July 9th – 13th – 3:30 PM – 6:30 PM - Rock Band Live! with Jack Clarke and Constantine Loucopoulos - $175/week – Open to students entering 5th grade through 9th grade

Did you ever want to be a Rock Star? Come join us for a week of Jammin that culminates on Friday night with a concert for family and friends.  Basic knowledge of your instrument of choice is required.  There is space for all including vocalists. (a limited number of instruments are available to borrow upon request).

Mondays – July 9th – August 20th (No meeting August 6th) – 3:30 PM – 4:30 PM – Inspiring Wings – Yoga for Teens - $75 for 5 sessions – Open to students 12-17.

Yoga is a gentle, non-competitive form of exercise that promotes strength and flexibility while teaching you how to relax, concentrate and quite your mind.  It works on the whole body and teaches you how keep the mind and body fit for life.  This class is designed to enhance flexibility, build strength and improve concentration.  It is appropriate for all levels.  Yoga is also very beneficial for those who are involved in sports, dance, or anyone interested in making lasting changes in their life.  Instructor – Karen Gomez, Yoga and wellness coach, founder of We are the ONES wellness and coaching and inspiring wings yoga for teens.

July 16th – 20th – 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM - Teen Survival Skills with Erik Becker - $250/week – Open to students entering 8th grade & up

Spend the week with Erik Becker (formerly of Bushy Hill) learning survival skills such as tracking, carving & knife safety, awareness, movement in nature, safe fire making (matches & bow drill), shelter building, water gathering, basic hunting, tree & plant identification, as well as outdoor cooking.  The Madison Arts Barn is surrounded by the perfect setting for this type of adventure.

Wednesdays – July 18th – August 22nd – 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM - Cartooning Workshops with Kelley Kapfer - $200 for 6 sessions – Open to students entering 5th grade and up

Indulge your love of drawing, storytelling and humor with these great classes devoted to the expressive power of cartoon.  Perfect for Anime-Manga or Comic book enthusiast.

Thursdays – July 19th – August 23rd – 4:00 – 6:00 PM - The Art of Graffiti with Kelley Kapfer - $225 for 6 sessions – Open to students entering 5th grade and up

What’s on your wall? Learn the art of spray painting and stenciling.  We will begin by looking at the works of world-famous street artists.  Create your own mural-size graffiti painting to take home with you.

July 23rd – 27th – 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM - Center Stage Theatre Camp with Director, Alan Wagner - $225/week – Open to students entering 5th grade & up

Join us center stage at the Madison Arts Barn for a week of theatre if you ever thought about being on stage or are interested in improving your acting ability. Alan Wagner, who directed South Pacific at Daniel Hand High School (2010), among many other great shows, will be running the camp. Enjoy theater games, improvisations, and learn audition techniques to better your chances to be casted in your dream part.  Scene study, monologue preparation and working with others promises to make Center Stage Theater Camp a wonderful, exciting and enjoyable learning experience. Don’t miss your turn in the spot light.

August 5th – 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM – College Application & Resume Building Workshop - $45/workshop – Open to students entering 9th grade & up.

Meet individually with current School Counseling graduate students from Southern Connecticut State University to work on college applications, resume building, mock interview skills and more.  Whether you are an incoming freshman who has limited college know-how or an incoming senior planning to send out applications in the fall, all students will learn tips and skills about the application/admissions process that will be to their benefit.

August 6th – 10th – 8:30 AM – 12:00 PM - Art Exploration with Bonnie and Greg Gallo - $175/week (materials included) – Open to students entering 5th grade & up.

Spend the morning exploring several different art mediums.  Clay and Digital Modeling: Students will be using clay to creating mugs, bowls, and other functional clay vessels that will be microwave and dishwasher safe. Students will be able to eat, drink, and be happy by possibly planting some flowers in a functional Vase.  Students will also be able to create a 3D building on the computer and be able to print out their plans.  Drawing Illusions:  Students will explore a variety of designs by creating illusions with various drawing materials. Students will create stunning 3D effects and learn new drawing techniques. Digital Storytelling Filmmaking:  Students will learn how to plan, shoot, and edit short films.  Students will understand the importance of storytelling throughout the world and discuss what mediums people use to tell stories.   Students will brainstorm ideas for possible short stories and work in groups to shoot their videos. Painting Nature:  Students will explore painting nature themes in a variety of media, watercolor, tempera, and acrylic. Student will get a chance to paint “Au plein air” outside, just like the Impressionists did in the 19th century.

August 6th – 10th – 12:00 PM – 3:30 PM – The Best of the Barn – $150/week ($75 if combined with Art Exploration) – Open to students entering 5th grade & up.

Spend the afternoon sampling all the different  summer camps we are offering this year.  Enjoy art, music, nature, theatre and more.

August 13th – 17th – 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM - The Famished Games - $250/week – Open to students entering 5th grade & up

Did you love the Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins?  Then you will love The Famished Games.  Spend a week visiting all 12 districts of “Panem” and participate in activities and crafts that depict the strength of each district.  Come participate in wilderness adventures, learn survival skills, and live the adventures of this best-selling novel.

August 20th – 24th – 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM - Get Crafty Camp – $225/week – Open to students entering 5th grade & up

Are you creative? Come join us for a week of creativity through crafts. We will have scrap-booking, decoupage, jewelry making, and so much more.  Come create some beautiful items with us.

Week of June 25th, July 9th, July 16th, July 23rd, July 30th, August 6th, August 13th & August 20th – 3:30 PM – 5:30 PM - After Camp & Beyond – $50/week – Open to students entering 5th grade & up

After the camp day is through the fun is not over.  Additional activities including crafts, nature workshops, games and more will continue.

Math Tutoring / Language Arts Tutoring - Sundays 9AM – 10 AM – Additional days and hours are coordinated on an individual basis- $35/session or $200/6 sessions – Call to schedule (203-245-2689).

Small group instruction of no more than 4 students with individual instruction.

Skateboard Lessons - Days and hours are coordinated on an individual basis – $30/Hour – Call to schedule (203-245-2689).

Beginner and Intermediate instruction available. Lessons will be geared to the student’s ability and will have a ration of no more than 3 students to 1 instructor.
